HONDA CIVIC TYPE R

The Honda Civic Type R is a series of high-performance based on the Civic, developed and produced by Honda since September 1997. Type R versions of the Civic typically feature a lightened and stiffened body, specially tuned engine, and upgraded brakes and chassis. Like every other Type R models, red is used in the Honda badge background to give it a special sporting distinction and to separate it from other models.

CREATIVE PROCESS

Honda mandated our team to create unique Xbox Elite Wireless 2 controllers inspired by the iconic Honda Civic Type R.

On the controller, two colours predominate: red, which emphasizes the sporty line of the brand’s model, and black, which combines perfectly with the red. Carbon is inserted on the front of the controller to recall different technical parts of the car (rear spoiler, front spoiler, engine cover).

The choice of colours also enhances the curves and textures of the controller. To echo elements present in the cabin and on the dashboard, two 3D lines embrace the front of the controller, bringing both a sporty side and a better grip of the model. Red and black are also present on the back of the controller and provide the same homogeneity found in this iconic car. The paddles, composed of a thin red line, recall the different elements of the car designed in aluminum (gear knob and sport pedals). The historical logo of the model: Civic Type R appears at the rear on a black background.
