Project Description

Custom Xbox Canada controller in honour of one of the world’s most beloved sports: basketball.

James Naismith, a Canadian physical education teacher, invented the game of basketball in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1891 as a way of keeping his students active in winter. The game was an immediate success, and this original American sport soon spread to other universities.

Featuring a raised maple leaf on the front, with a texture reminiscent of a basketball, this controller is more than just a gaming accessory—it’s a symbol. Basketball has grown into one of the world’s most beloved sports, and this project serves as a reminder of its origins while showcasing the essence of Canada.
